Introduction​

This Privacy Policy describes how Yaala Labs ("we", "us", or "our"), the data controller, handles personal data in connection with the Agent Kernel documentation website at kernel.yaala.ai.

Data Controller​

Yaala Labs is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. For privacy-related enquiries, please contact us via our GitHub repository or at privacy@yaalalabs.com.

What Data We Collect and Why​

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized, aggregated statistics about how visitors use this documentation, including which pages are viewed, approximate geographic region (country/city level), browser type, and how users navigate between pages. This helps us improve the documentation.

Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR / UK GDPR). Analytics data is collected only if you explicitly accept cookies via the consent banner displayed on your first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Withdrawing Consent below). Declining or withdrawing consent has no effect on your ability to access the site.

We have configured GA4 with:

  • IP anonymization: Your IP address is truncated by Google before storage; the full IP address is never written to disk and we never receive it
  • No advertising features: We do not use Google Signals, remarketing, or any ad-targeting functionality
  • No cross-site tracking: Data is used solely for aggregate analytics on this property

Data We Do Not Collect​

We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or any other directly identifying personal data. We do not require accounts or registration to use this site.

Third-Party Services and International Transfers​

Google Analytics (United States)​

When you accept analytics cookies, anonymized usage data is transmitted to and processed by Google LLC, based in the United States. This constitutes an international transfer of data outside the EEA/UK. This transfer is governed by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and Data Processing Terms, which provide appropriate safeguards under GDPR Chapter V. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

GitHub Pages (Hosting)​

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States). GitHub may process access logs containing IP addresses and user-agent strings as part of their hosting service. This processing is subject to GitHub's Privacy Statement. This hosting relationship constitutes an international transfer covered by GitHub's standard data protection terms.

This site contains links to third-party websites (GitHub, PyPI, Terraform Registry, Discord, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Data Retention​

GA4 analytics data is retained for 14 months in our Google Analytics property, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. We do not maintain any separate data store of visitor information.

Your Rights​

If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data
  • Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
  • Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your EEA member state's authority)

Because we process only anonymized, aggregated analytics data (and only with your consent), we are unlikely to hold data that is identifiable to you individually. However, we will respond to any rights request in good faith.

You may withdraw your analytics consent at any time by:

  1. Clearing the ak_cookie_consent entry from your browser's local storage for this site
  2. Deleting the _ga and _ga_TFXXDHX2H5 cookies via your browser tools
  3. Installing Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
